Newton-Wellesley Hospital's beloved facility dog, Buddy, has been diagnosed with lower motor neuron disease. Following his veterinary team’s recommendation, he will retire on April 11th. For more than three years, Buddy has been a source of comfort, joy and support for our patients, staff and community. While we are heartbroken to see him step away, our priority is his long-term health and well-being. In retirement, Buddy will receive expert care and a loving home with one of his dedicated Child Life handlers. We're deeply grateful for Buddy’s impact and will continue working with our pet therapy partners to bring comfort to our hospital community.

Meet Sadie, one of our runners for the 129th Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America. Diagnosed with endometriosis eight years ago, Sadie struggled for years to find answers and relief. It wasn’t until she found the Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery (MIGS) team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital that she finally received the care and validation she needed. Now, she's running to advocate for increased funding, more research and better healthcare options for all women. Sadie is proud to raise funds for MIGS to ensure others receive the same exceptional care. Find out how you can support Sadie and the rest of the team: http://spklr.io/61804JrK
