Milestone Achievement for New Mexico’s Community Solar Program The NMPRC, alongside program administrator InClime Inc., is excited to announce that four community solar projects have officially broken ground in Tularosa, Clovis, and Belen, marking a major step forward in expanding solar access across the state. Construction is underway. These facilities will generate 16 megawatts of renewable energy, benefiting residents and businesses in Otero, Curry, and Valencia counties. The Community Solar Program enables customers, including renters and small businesses—to participate in solar energy benefits without installing panels on their property. Each project is reserving at least 30 percent of its energy for low-income subscribers. With 47 total projects planned, totaling 200 megawatts of capacity, New Mexico is moving toward a more inclusive and sustainable energy future. The NMPRC will hold an informational workshop on potential rule amendments on March 5.
