The Harlem African Burial Ground is the resting place for freed and enslaved New Yorkers from the 1600s until the 1880s. Our Senior Project Manager Saradine Pierre highlights the ongoing efforts to honor and preserve this historic site as we move forward with archaeological work and plans for future development.
