The view from the top gives you a different perspective. The vision and business value of data we build need to be checked consistently. We've had an unfortunate project with a healthcare client who insisted that moving on prem data to Databricks and developers who have no healthcare background will be a successful implementation. Somewhere along the build management lost perspective without a vision, plan, and strategy other than lift and shift of the same mess to Databricks. The project was eventually cancelled. On the good side, a few months later ... the CFO reached out to us and asked for our help with their data. We have delivered a few datasets currently being used for business decisions and continuing to work with the business on future datasets.
