Stigma surrounding diabetes directly impacts quality of care and life. Nearly 7 in 10 people with diabetes report experiencing bias, and 4 in 10 have skipped medical appointments because of it. At ProSciento, we are committed to challenging these harmful stereotypes by prioritizing patient experience and fostering a supportive environment. Through research, education, and advocacy, we can break down barriers and ensure everyone receives the care they deserve. Together, we can create a future free from stigma. #DiabetesAwareness #DiabetesResearch #PatientFocused

A co-authored poster by ProSciento and Nordic Bioscience was presented at the EASL | The Home of Hepatology by Diana Julie Leeming, mMBA, MSc, PhD, Senior Director, Hepatic & Pulmonary Research at Nordic Bioscience. The poster explores non-invasive biomarkers for hepatic fibrosis in patients at risk of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). MASH-related fibrosis results from excessive collagen deposition, increasing liver stiffness. Our research investigates how PRO-C3, PRO-C4, and PRO-C6 biomarkers—which assess fibroblast activation and endothelial damage—correlate with liver stiffness in patients at risk due to obesity and type 2 diabetes.
