A special thank you to artist Colette Miller for this beautiful Wings of Compassion painting that honors our caregivers at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, California—they truly are angels among us! 💙💚
Today we unveiled our Wings of Compassion selfie wall. The angel wings were painted by American-born artist Colette Miller who created the Global Angels Wings Project in 2012, in the streets of Los Angeles, the City of Angels. The paintings are human-sized interactive public art. Colette has painted wings globally in Kenya, Australia, Europe, England, Ukraine, Japan, Cuba, Mexico, Russia, Taiwan, China and locations throughout the U.S. In addition to our work of art, she just completed angel wings in Altadena to support the LA fire victims. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to have the Wings of Compassion to honor our caregivers and the sacred work they do every day. Our hope is that the Wings will be a reminder of the humble angels among us. You'll find the Wings selfie wall near our front entrance. #ProvidenceStJosephOrange #SoStJoes

This month, we celebrate the birthdays of two remarkable women here at Providence.🕯️ Mother Bernard Gosselin, born February 18, 1874, foundress of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and Blessed Émilie Gamelin, born February 19, 1800, foundress of the Sisters of Providence, Mother Joseph.
