According to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory, Redwood’s recycled materials match or exceed the performance of cathode from virgin-mined materials. Testing confirmed identical cycle life, discharge capacity, and efficiency, with some recycled materials even outperforming mined metals. A circular battery future is here. Recently, Nature Magazine reviewed Stanford University's analysis comparing Redwood's recycling process to mining. Thanks to Stanford’s insights, we’ve further reduced our footprint, cutting CO2 emissions well below those of mining or any other lithium-ion recycling operation, while achieving unprecedented efficiency and scale.
