  • Warmer weather is here – which means dreaded allergy season is on the horizon. While allergy sufferers may not be ready to address seasonal allergy symptoms just yet, our pharmacists recommend preparing 2-4 weeks in advance to help mitigate symptoms effectively. Here are a few pharmacist-approved tips for managing allergy symptoms this spring: ✔️ Understanding allergy relief medications: Our pharmacists can discuss treatment options such as antihistamines, corticosteroids and decongestants, to ensure specific symptoms are addressed by the correct medication. ✔️ Double-check the label: Many products are available in adult and children’s formulations. Choose an age-appropriate formulation and follow the recommended dosage guidelines – use the correct amount, at the right time of day, for the recommended length of time. ✔️ Lifestyle recommendations: When pollen counts are high, minimize exposure by keeping windows closed and limit outdoor activities. Change clothing and shower promptly to prevent pollen from contaminating indoor surfaces. Preparedness is critical, and Rite Aid is here to help! Our pharmacists can help develop a personalized treatment plan to meet our customers’ health and wellness goals – so everyone can enjoy the outdoors without interruption. #Spring #AllergyTips #SeasonalAllergies

Flu is spiking nationwide, with some areas seeing their highest levels in decades. Rite Aid pharmacists promote community health and wellbeing by providing access to essential vaccines and over the counter products to help support immunity and recovery. “The flu vaccine is the most effective way to reduce the risk of flu and its serious complications, especially with this year’s flu strain being highly contagious and more intense than previous years,” said Summer Kerley, Group Vice President, Pharmacy Growth and Clinical Programs. “Your local Rite Aid pharmacist can also talk through all the options available to help keep your families safe and healthy.” To schedule your vaccine visit https://lnkd.in/d7U66bMp or walk-in to speak with your pharmacist today.
