You don't need short emails, you need longer ones. There are three things that are killing your open and replies rate in today's market. 1. Subject line. Status Quo: Generic, salesy, the same thing everyone is sending. "Quick question, Samantha?" will strike nausea in the heart of anyone reading. What works: One that uses Show Me You Know Me and makes absolutely no sense except to the person reading it. "Toby Carrington is Australian... + Pipeline Diving + #samsales" won me a meeting in 19 min with the CRO of 100M ARR company. 2. Value prop - it's not what you do, it's what you solve. Status Quo: "We help companies like...streamline cloud-based...that leads to... What works: Our clients often struggle with open/reply rates because the content was written by a mix of marketing and enablement, or left in the hands of each sales rep to articulate value, timing, and content. The core issue here is that we tasked our teams to write cadences and never taught them what good looks like or what data to rely on to get conversions. (^^teach them that others do the same thing they do and to consider that you have intel on why that doesn't work) 3. Not calling out the Hidden or Forthcoming Objection. Status Quo: Nothing What works: the reader won't reply with their objection - they'll think it and delete your email - so we have to. What do you often hear when you say your value prop? Great, now say that and get around it in this email. Show them you know them by guessing their objection and show why you're still worthy of a conversation. **************************************** Your buyers are getting the same short, generic emails from 10-20 reps a day, so if they say yes to meetings with all of them, where does that get them? They won't do that, but what they WILL do is give an extra 10 seconds to a well-written, thoughtful email that earns their interest and the meeting. Want to level up your game here? Generic mass emails and cold calls simply don't cut it anymore. So how can sales professionals differentiate themselves and build genuine relationships with buyers? Samantha McKenna, seasoned sales leader and founder of #samsales Consulting#samsales Consulting , shares her insights: - Focus on quality over quantity in your outreach. Personalize messaging to speak directly to the prospect's challenges. - Leverage the "strength of weak ties" by tapping your network for warm introductions instead of relying solely on cold outreach. - Always tie your product's value prop to the buyer's "so what". How does your solution uniquely address their pain points? - Combine cutting-edge GTM AI tech with a human-centric approach. Automate processes, but never lose sight of the person behind the persona. By treating buyers as human beings, not just targets, sales teams can build the types of lasting relationships that drive long-term success, even as the market evolves. Looking to level up your sales game with personalization at scale? People, Relationships & Optimism Matter

When you look at my LinkedIn profile, you see the Chief Growth Officer who has consistently been promoted throughout my 36-year career with Compass. You don't see the multiple times that I was passed over a promotion. Part of my success stems from resilience, determination, and a team-player mindset. If your career isn't currently where you'd like it to be - keep going. I had a chance to discuss my career highs and lows with Samantha McKenna on her podcast, and we had a great discussion around sales, leadership, and talent retention. Check out the details below to hear the latest episode of The Show Me You Know Me® Show!

Some posts go viral. Most don’t. But there’s a metric only the post creator sees: impressions - and that’s where the real story is. We've partnered with #samsales for years to sharpen our LinkedIn strategy, and one of the best benchmarks comes from Samantha McKenna: - If impressions = 100x likes (70 likes = 7,000 impressions), you’re reaching beyond your immediate network. - If impressions hit 200x or 500x likes, you’ve struck a nerve. Buyers and their cross-functional partners are dropping your post into Slack, forwarding it in emails, and debating it in group texts. That’s when LinkedIn stops being just a feed and starts becoming a demand gen engine. A post might get 50 likes but rack up 10,000+ impressions...because people read, nod, share internally, and never click ‘like.’ Those silent lurkers? They book meetings. Some of the highest-impact posts are the ones that: - Challenge how buyers think - Go deep on a tactical play - Give people language to push change internally Anyway, the point is that sometimes your “worst” posts are your best. Impressions tell you where to double down. Use the data. Refine your message. Tie it back to your value prop. LinkedIn is much more than a vanity platform. It’s a pipeline driver if you read the signals right.

Rep: Can you think of anyone that you could refer us to? Buyer: Not at the moment but I'll keep you in mind. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑 HOW we ask for the referrals is the key flip here, and what's often missed in this process. Here's how we teach to do it the #samsales way: Rep: With the positive feedback you've given us about our work together, would you mind if I took a look at your network on LI and sent you a few names of people to which you're connected to see if you know them well enough to make intros? Pop open LI Sales Nav Hit "Lead Filters" at the top Filter to "Connections Of" that person + your territory + title/geo/etc. POOF: a list of people they're connected to + a host of details in each record on how well they may in fact know that person. Send them an email with a list of 10-15 that looks like this: Sam McKenna, CEO @ #samsales James Porter, SVP, Rev Ops @ AT&T Note: you want to link the name to their LI profile not their LI Sales Nav, and you'll want to include their title to help jog the referrer's memory on who they are as names alone might be useless. and with this script: Hi again, Joy! Here's a list of connections I compiled. I know our networks are sometimes filled with weak ties, so in an effort to make good use of your time, I sent you 15 names and am hopeful you know even 2 or 3 of these well enough to make intros. I'm including a quick script below if you'd like to copy/paste, or I can send you a separate email that you can then forward along, if easier. Thank you again for taking the time out to review these and be of help to me! Sam Don't passively ask your connections to think of referrals for you, take the reins in your own hands and go get after it. For more on these plays, you'll find nearly 40 pages broken down in our prospecting playbook - https://lnkd.in/g4kSRRVe #samsales
