Given recent talk of economic uncertainty, I thought I'd look back at what leaders in Boston's startup community have told me about navigating challenging times. After all, as some reminded me, the best companies got their start in periods of transformation (think Microsoft, Uber, etc). Great insight here in terms of focusing on the fundamentals and remaining "thoughtful" about capital strategy, as well as leveraging AI in a smart way that makes sense. Hiring is broken – ghosted candidates, drawn out processes, bias and a total lack of flexibility for top talent who need it most – and Ribbon is here to fix it.

Freight forwarding has existed for thousands of years—long-distance trade even predates early art, including cave paintings. Yet, the industry has been slow to adopt technology. Ships only travel between ports, requiring multiple transportation modes like rail and trucking, each operating on separate IT systems that don’t communicate with one another.
