About us
We're a web 3.0 resume platform with a talent marketplace. What does that mean, exactly? Well, we think we're the future of hiring. A future where everyone has access to a quality resume, and is evaluated on their skills, not the prestige of their education. We help job seekers turn their digital credentials into a resume they can use. We help employers do what they’ve always done - hire talent, but with better data and without bias. We help organizations champion an individual’s qualifications and marketability throughout the life of their career. We invite you to join us by visiting: www.smartresume.com

Did you know that the first record of a "resume" being used dates back to Leonardo da Vinci? The story goes that in 1482, he wrote a letter to the Duke of Milan outlining his skills and experience in an attempt to gain his patronage. Today, the now 500+ year old traditional resume is at an inflection point. As AI makes it easier than ever to craft a resume that perfectly matches any job posting, we need to reexamine the role of the resume itself. Our partners at SmartResume and Arizona State University are diving into this transformation, exploring how we can better understand individuals’ skills and experiences to align the right people with the right roles. What's clear is that we need innovative tools that can drive smarter hiring decisions through a better understanding of people, work, and learning. At SkillsEngine, we’re committed to building these solutions. Our platform uses over 35,000 expert-curated skills to bring clarity to the job market, helping employers find the right talent and optimize their workforce. Are you ready for this moment of change? 65%? 👀
Chief Growth Officer, SmartResume/iDatafy Reimagining how companies recruit and hire certified talent.
Tremendous consensus from the Human Potential Summit that AI resume builders are plummeting trust in resumes. the data point I kept hearing is that 65% of resumes are now nearly identical because they are written by ChatGPT. Do you think your resume is getting noticed if it looks like all the other ones?

One of the first conflicts of AI use at scale: https://lnkd.in/gxhRrfne

This is why names are hidden on SmartResumes upon an employers first review of someone's qualifications: https://lnkd.in/gBeN5exW

Good things are happening. Thank you to our partners who help make this all happen.
Our Top Five SmartResume Achievements For Q2 2024 I am really happy with the performance of our team this past quarter. Here are some highlights- 1. SmartResume became the first Learning and Employment Record (#LER) platform to combine the power of verifiable credentials and Generative Ai on one easy to use resume building platform. This is going to be a big deal. Job seekers hate making resumes and feel that employers have been using Ai against them for years. Now the tables have completely turned. Employers are getting flooded with perfect looking resumes by job seekers but they hold a dirty secret. Job seekers now use GenAI tools to build their resumes to list nearly every keyword, qualification, and requirement listed in the job description, drastically inflating their qualifications and making it impossible for employers to identify the best candidates.. This is a huge opportunity for the entire LER ecosystem to step up and show job seekers how we can help them build a differentiated resume and show employers that we can solve a massive problem for them! 2. We continued to execute very well on our SkillsFWD partnership commitments with Accelerate Montana and Arizona State University as we have met our contracted progress goals for a second quarter in a row. SkillsFWD has been so thoughtfully imagined and well run to date. I cannot remember a similar experience with such focus on accountability towards the short term execution of goals while also placing an emphasis on the long term planning that is required to stand up a next generation talent ecosystem. We are a better company today because of what SkillsFWD is asking of us! 3. Our partnership with SHRM continues to flourish. We set a new SmartResume activation record with more than 1,000+ SHRM certified professionals choosing to activate a personal SmartResume in a single 24 hour period last month! 4. We successfully rolled out our CredentialConnect API which makes it easy for any credential issuing or publishing partners to enable their users to showcase their achievements on a SmartResume. Arizona State University’s Trusted Learner Network, Edalex and Education Design Lab are among the first to successfully implement CredentialConnect with more to come in Q3! The CredentialConnect API allows users to push credentials to SmartResume from their native platform, or to pull credentials into SmartResume from a bevy of credential wallets and issuing platforms. 5. Last but not least we signed a number of new partnerships but alas I am not allowed to talk about these just yet. Stay tuned! We are so fortunate to work with amazing partners. Thank you to each and every one of you!
