Born with a congenital heart defect, Jessica spent her childhood in hospitals—watching, learning, and dreaming of becoming a cardiology nurse. Years later, she was working toward that dream when her heart began to fail. Her journey led her to Texas Children’s Adult Congenital Heart Program, where she underwent a high-risk heart transplant in October 2024. Today, she’s embracing life with renewed strength and energy.
