We express our utmost gratitude to Saint John's Health Center Foundation’s Community Impact Fund. Thanks to their generous grant, we are able to provide Westside Interim Housing and Wellness programming that allows our clients to take the first step in transitioning from street homelessness to being permanently housed. Our Domestic Violence, Outreach and Education program, which works to spread awareness and uplift the voices of survivors of domestic violence, is also made possible thanks to the invaluable gift that we have received. We look forward to a bright future filled with collaboration and the diligence needed to make sure everyone is housed, healthy and safe.

As we close out Black History Month, we reflect on the importance of equity in addressing homelessness. This month is a celebration of the rich cultural history of Black Americans, but it's also a reminder to look ahead and continue building a future rooted in justice and opportunity. As Dani Hampton, Senior Director of Interim Housing - Special Projects, reminds us, we must "ensure that the progress made continues for generations to come."

When clients move into interim housing, one of our priorities is helping them manage their medical needs. Many clients haven’t seen a doctor in years and have trouble navigating the complex world of health insurance. That’s where our Care Coordinators come in. With their help, our clients leave interim housing with skills to manage their health.

Permanent supportive housing allows people to lift themselves up and rebuild their lives. Within the walls of these PSH sites, special communities can form. At sites like The Harvest, friendships begin between neighbors who keep each other honest and care for one another. We are incredibly proud to partner with agencies like SDS Capital Group to house our neighbors. The connections that we’ve helped develop and the new lease on life that is afforded to our clients is what makes our work all the more worthwhile.

This past year, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have our volunteers and sponsors aid us in our mission to create a brighter future. It is thanks to their contributions that we are able to provide stability and a sense of normalcy into the lives of our clients. A huge thank you to March Capital, Kristine Locker and Locker for their support in uplifting our fellow Angelenos.

This Giving Tuesday, every sack lunch at our Annenberg Access Center means more than a meal—it’s a step toward trust, stability, and self-sufficiency for our unhoused neighbors. Last year, we served over 59,000 lunches, building connections and offering critical support. With your support, and a matching gift from The Sikand Foundation (up to $32,500!), we can keep this lifeline going. Donate today! https://lnkd.in/gnibWyUf
