The first renovated restroom of Oakland International Airport's (OAK) Terminal Restroom Renovation Program is OPEN! The renovation is an exciting first for not just OAK, but for Webcor, marking our first completed project at Oakland International. These modernized restrooms feature spacious ADA-compliant stalls with shelves for personal items, stall doors with integrated LED-light occupancy indicators so travelers can quickly spot available stalls, and upgraded lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures and sound-absorbing materials that minimize noise and enhance passenger comfort. Thank you to HNTB, Cupertino Electric, Inc., N.V. Heathorn, and many more for your partnership in delivering this important project for the millions of visitors OAK serves each year! #BuildWithWebcor 📷 : Kevin Meynell

That's a wrap on Women in Construction Week (WiC Week)! Huge thanks to Women of Webcor and BuildHERs for organizing a fantastic week of events in San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles to honor the incredible women in our industry. Webcorians celebrated with WiC Week luncheons and happy hours and gained valuable insights from a panel discussion with Tradeswomen Inc. at the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project and an in-depth interview with former Los Angeles World Airports CEO/KDG Construction founder Lydia Kennard at LAX (an event organized by Women Building Airports). Several Webcorians also visited California State Polytechnic University-Pomona to share resume writing and interview tips/strategies with the university's Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE) program, a gratifying opportunity to continue championing the next generation of women in architecture/engineering/construction (AEC)! #WhyWebcor

Another win for China Basin Park, Mission Rock's sustainably designed waterfront park neighboring McCovey Cove and Oracle Park! After winning American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Francisco Section's award last year, China Basin Park's officially been named the ASCE Region 9 Outstanding Parks & Recreation Project. This annual awards program celebrates people and projects across California that have demonstrated the very best in civil engineering. Congratulations to the entire team, especially our civil engineering partner BKF Engineers and geotechnical engineering partner Langan Engineering & Environmental Services! 📷 : Jason O'Rear

Thank you to The Collective, our Black Employee Resource Group (ERG), for organizing a fantastic volunteer event at the District 10 Community Market to wrap up Black History Month! The Collective, which is open to all Webcorians, is committed to building internal community and supporting our neighbors in need through local volunteerism. Operated by Bayview-Hunters Point Multipurpose Senior Services, the District 10 Community Market offers eligible District 10 residents a wide selection of free, healthy groceries. District 10 comprises several San Francisco neighborhoods classified by the US Dept. of Agriculture as food deserts—areas lacking reliable access to a grocery store or food resource. Thank you to everyone who joined The Collective in supporting this vital community resource! #WhyWebcor 📷 : Webcor Marketing Specialist Brandon Blum

We're officially EcoVadis-certified! Thanks to the dedicated collaboration of several Webcorians across various teams, we’ve earned a Bronze Medal from EcoVadis for the third consecutive year. EcoVadis is a third-party environmental, social, and governance (ESG) rating system that assesses companies’ sustainability performance in four key areas—Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This certification marks a major milestone in the "Performance" category of our People, Planet, and Performance commitment (Webcor's ESG initiative), which includes external ESG reporting as a core part of our Performance efforts. Thank you to all the Webcorians who contributed to this significant achievement! #WhyWebcor

It's been a jam-packed winter for our UC Irvine Mesa Court Student Housing team! Over the last two months, they've overcome major weather-related challenges, enclosed the building, and completed the roof, winterization of the building, and exterior framing. Currently, they're working on sitework (concrete benches, patios, and light poles) and interiors (tiling, carpentry, countertops, and carpeting). Once complete, UCI Mesa Court will provide about 400 new beds for undergrad students in quad occupancy rooms, in addition to Zoom rooms, study rooms, community/shared kitchens, and laundry facilities! #BuildWithWebcor

Our College Recruiting team had a blast at this year's Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Regions 6 & 7 conference in Reno! As tradition goes, Webcor sponsored the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) problem at ASC's long-awaited student competition. A huge congratulations to California State University-Sacramento's VDC team on winning this year's problem statement, and to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and University of California, Davis on placing second and third! From judging the VDC competition to hosting the highly anticipated raffle to connecting with students at Webcor's company booth, it was an incredible week of building connections and sharing insights with our industry's future leaders! #WhyWebcor

The adapted TRUE Construction guidance has officially launched thanks to leadership from pilot projects, like the TRUE Gold certified construction project Contra Costa County Administration Building B & Plaza in Martinez, California. The first government building to achieve TRUE certification for a construction project was made possible by Contra Costa County, All About Waste, Webcor, Vanir, and Perkins&Will. During construction, 15,000 tons of waste was diverted from landfills, incineration, and the environment. Reusing salvaged material from the demolished building, job site training, and collaboration with suppliers led this project to divert 95% of its potential waste, reducing associated greenhouse gas emissions by 8,500 metric tons—equivalent to the annual emissions of 1,800 gasoline-powered cars. Learn more about the TRUE construction adaptation. https://bit.ly/3PDvviD
