Women in Sustainable Business

🫶 What a great evening and day! 🫶 Our first annual event took place yesterday in Brussels. On 18 March 2025 we already had a great reception sponsored by the ESG Peers. Thank you all for this great event, for the inspiring discussions and wonderful brainstorming, and thank you Cattwyk for hosting the first annual Women in Sustainable Business event. We appreciate the efforts of each and every one of you to come all the way to Brussels and make room in your schedules! Special thanks to our speakers Prof. Dr. Ulla Gläßer, LL.M., Marie Kuschik and Fiorella Sanchez Monge for their insightful contributions. 💡 Where do we go from here? 📅 We will continue with our monthly virtual lunches - the next one will take place on 9 April 2024. We are delighted that Franziska Kaiser (geb. Zegula) will be discussing #customslaw in the context of sustainability. 📅 We will also soon be able to meet in person - we are very honoured to have been given a slot during the SoS 2025 of osapiens together with the Female Mentorship Programme of Kim Hirsch and Raphaela Haring on 15 May afternoon. We look forward to you joining the network, meeting and connecting with us or even contributing to one of our network events.

It's now time to introduce the third of our distingushed guest speakers and moderators: We are delighted that Fiorella Sanchez Monge will share her views on sustainability and business. A former sustainable fashion label founder, EUDR Global Lead and Biodiversity and Nature Lead for KPMG Europe, Middle East and Africa, she will talk about her entrepreneurial drive and offer key takeaways. 🛳️ "90% of all goods come to Europe thanks to the seafarer", but still we see a great "#seablindness". 🛳️   The topic of today's #LunchDate was "#HolidaySeason and #Sustainability".   The logistics sector, already under pressure, is under even more duress during the festive season when presents are waiting under the Christmas tree. But do we really know and care how the goods get under the tree?   It was a wonderful talk with Helene Perfors, Chaplain at the Port of Rotterdam, who was so kind to share her knowledge and expertise on the situation of seafarers and even a Christmas miracle!   Thank you all for attending and for the inspiring discussion! 💡 Our Virtual Lunch Dates take place every second Wednesday between 12:00 and 13:00 (next Date: 8 January 2025) 💡
