It is becoming more and more clear, if you are a corporation/brand with a direct, consented relationship with your customer, you can build a media business. Just think about all the announcements recently - T-Mobile, United Airlines, JP Morgan Chase (!), PayPal (!), and I was just reading Michael Shields’ story on RMNs this morning (600 RMNs today!). https://lnkd.in/eFqyiuEU This is the new thing - offer the ability for your partners to layer YOUR consumer data across not only your own digital assets (your website), but importantly, OTHER folks’ much bigger media assets (e.g., Social, CTV, Programmatic Display), and there is real scale there. But more importantly, there is MEASURABILITY because you’re packaging this with ROI measurement. These developments mean that these media networks are not just RMNs anymore…they’re “1PDMNs.” Across every category. They’ll be popping up all over the place.
