Continuous Improvement…you start small, do more work, upgrade equipment, do more work, get new demos, do more work, gain more agents, do more work, upgrade equipment and space to your liking and focus on efficiency and quality and do more work. See the repeated phrase there? “Do more work”. It’s not an accident, voiceover and voice acting takes continuous improvement in EVERYTHING! Despite what some are now selling and have been selling since LONG before the pandemic, it’s not a “get rich quick” thing, it’s a long journey of self improvement and making sure what you have to offer is better sounding, more efficient and just overall a better product than what your client can get elsewhere. But with all the ups and downs, it’s like nothing else. Do more work. #voiceactor

No Fakes Act (H.R. 9551/S. 4875) This is a bipartisan consensus bill to protect individuals from having their likeness misused by AI without their consent American Music Fairness Act (H.R. 791/S. 253) Ensures performers and producers are compensated when their recordings are played on AM/FM radio and protects and preserves songwriter loyalties. American Music Tourism Act (H.R. 8843) Charges the Commerce Dept to increase music tourism to bolster music economies in all 50 states Hits Act (H.R. 1259/S. 1625) Harmonizes the tax treatment of sound recordings with other existing provisions for TV, film, theater Being asked by the Academy to advocate for these issues is a distinct honor. If you are using an expensive DAW application for recording and/or mix, I recommend you stop immediately and download the free demo of Reaper (inexpensive to aquire personal or business licensing). Fully customizable interface to adapt to your workflows, or make it look like the product you are used to, and easy access to existing plugs installed on your rig. My entire catalog (Brad Slate, DABOTRON, micronova2046) from 2019 onward has been recorded/mixed/mastered in Reaper using the plugs we all own e.g. waves. I am not an affiliate of Reaper and I am not profiting from this advice. Just DL it and stop using inferior "tools". Spend the money you save on more plugs or hardware. And, again I am *not* an affiliate, but you should *only* invest in your gear by using Sweetwater. My Sales Engineer at Sweetwater for almost 20 years has been Mr. Brendan Murphy and he has *always* taken care of me. Here is my rig running Reaper.
