Maybe you have a collection of queries stored in a text file, or you participate in help forums and need to copy and paste someone else’s M code to work through. It can be tedious to open #PowerQuery, then the Advanced Editor, then paste, close, rename, and finally choose the load destination. 😓 Why not just launch the “Create Query From M Code” Monkey? Kurt Buhler is one of the best writers on #BI. In this article, he elegantly explains a basic principle of report design that many overlook (even myself). Even if #PowerBI is not your tool of choice, this article still applies to you. I highly recommend all BI professionals read it and bookmark it for future reference.
