#Detroit has been recognized as one of the best places to live in 2024 by Money.com due to its impressive economic recovery, and revitalization. According to Money, after overcoming urban decay and bankruptcy, the city has seen lower unemployment (2.6%) and affordable housing. "At one point, the city was a symbol for urban decay, even declaring bankruptcy in 2013. Newmark Detroit 3Q24 Industrial Market Trends: ‒The Metro Detroit industrial market vacancy rate climbed 40 basis points to 4.2% during the third quarter of 2024 as nearly 1 million square feet in net vacancies were added to the market. The industrial market continues to see headwinds as more facilities are added to the market. Direct available space rose by 6% to 24.3 million square feet, while available sublease space expanded by 26% compared to the previous quarter. ‒The market has seen a deceleration in asking rate growth over the past two years. Currently, the year-over-year increase in asking rents stands at 2.6%. This is significantly lower than the rates observed in previous years, with a notable increase of 22.54% in 2002 and 6.83% in 2023. -Positive News: Recent electric vehicles (EV) investments in Metro Detroit are driving industrial demand. https://lnkd.in/e4Q9-ECe

“What happens if a TORNADO comes through and tears up the entire #MobileHomePark?” 🌪️🌪️ While this is a terrible event no matter the outcome- especially if anyone gets hurt, there are things park owners can do to prepare and protect their #investors and #residents 1.) Carry loss of business income insurance so you’re still able to cover liabilities 2.) Work and communicate with local authorities to facilitate support for those with damages ASAP 3.) Get help on site and be hands on to help support and stick up for residents that are unable to do so for themselves - also get the property cleaned up and “safe” ASAP to avoid further losses 4.) work with FEMA to try and get new FEMA mobile homes and vouchers delivered to uninsured residents with losses 5.) Call your banker and ask for a loan forbearance until things get back to normal What else would be good to add?
