Effective MTSS interventions are about delivering results, especially for those students who are typically overlooked and at risk the most. Our GROW program in Harnett County Schools targeted their most at-risk 6th and 7th graders. Last week, I was back at HCS to wrap up their program. Seeing and hearing about the gains the students had made reminded me why I started this company a decade ago. We are here to move the needle and bridge the gap between what schools provide and what students need to succeed, and that’s exactly what happened. A special shoutout to Principal Jennifer Black of Harnett Central Middle School for her unwavering support and dedication to this program. Truly a rockstar, but no intervention can be successful without strong buy-in from the Principal and the site team. 📈 The data was remarkable. Some highlights included a 700% increase in students at grade level and even several students gaining multiple grade levels in just a short period of time. Student confidence increased in every category that we measured it in. Hearing from students about their experiences made it all real. One student mentioned how they now feel prepared for end-of-year testing and excited about learning new math topics next year. A big step forward for these learners! Their teachers also shared how the GROW program helped these students take risks in their work, engage more confidently in group discussions, and show more confidence overall. At Paper, we're committed to providing every student with the support they need to succeed.
