The sales coaching tool you choose depends on your target coaching audience. Sellers who are early in their selling career, such as SDRs/BDRs or first-time AEs, need skill development coaching. Conversely, more experienced sellers need deal development coaching.

What are the best ways to create user-friendly sales coaching tools and technology for your sales reps?
In the context of complex/enterprise SaaS sales, deal coaching is the single most important and impactful coaching intervention. Gartner identified that the highest performing managers "overweight" coaching their reps on deal execution and "underweight" individual rep skill development. Salesforce found that strategizing is AEs preferred coaching method. Managers, especially first-time managers, don't have the bandwidth or expertise to do individual rep skills development. A thoughtful approach to deal strategizing 1:1 and better yet during team meetings is the most effective, enjoyable, actionable, and impactful coaching focus.

What are the best types of content to attract and nurture leads at different stages of the buyer's journey?
At this stage, conversation is more important than content. The seller is, in essence, the content. To optimize initial conversations, sellers need to research the account and stakeholders and use this for call planning. Asking questions and providing insights that only SMEs would know to ask is how to most effectively engage the buyer at this stage.
