I woke up this morning ready for a BIG week where I have the opportunity to dive into the People component with entrepreneurs at the Growth Summit Basecamp in Charleston. As I walked on the beach early this morning, I re-listened to the newest book in the Traction Library, People. I was reminded of EOS founder Gino Wickman's seven criteria that define a strong leadership team. (It's all about the journey – not the destination!) Some wise words from Gino: "I recently delivered my 2,000th session with the hard-charging leadership teams of 135 companies. As I reflect back on 14,000 hours in a session room, it’s crystal clear to me what the number one cause of a company’s greatness is. There isn’t even a close second. Although you might think that the number one cause that makes a company great is a compelling vision, luck, execution, culture, the business model, the product or service, timing, compensation, being first to market, or cutting-edge technology, it’s none of the above. Gary has taken complete ownership of his (personal & professional) growth & development. He invested in himself & his organization by partnering w/Arrowhead. The greatest asset in any company is the people. 🔥HE wants to learn & grow as much as he wants his team & organization to learn & grow. 👉🏼 What areas of my life (personally or professionally) have I been unwilling to take ownership in? (& why?) ✅ 2.) He is the lead learner of his company. He shows up with prepared questions & ready to take notes. Ready to learn. He pursues growth intentionally, not by accident. He's not waiting to get spoon-fed. He's leaning into his growth. Patrick Lencioni would call him "hungry". 👉🏼 How am I modeling an intentional learning, growth mindset on my team? ✅ 3.) He implements accurately. b.) He implements quickly. c.) He actively seeks growth through accountability by actively pursuing feedback based on his strategy implementation.  d.) He is trusting. e.) He is willing to fail in pursuit of growth. f.) He values growth over pride & ego.  g.) He continues to ask clarifying questions until he fully understands concepts. h.)
