I don't know what to call it...but I'm a work-o-holic...Satcube is coming for your commercial SATCOM market. The last 6 weeks, Satcube's have been flying off the shelf for new SOF and Government customers. Today was another Christmas gift order from a Special Operations unit. L🎄F 🎁G I'm forever grateful to my SOF community for understanding the importance of link diversity, SATCOM security, and multi orbit solutions. Sure there are tons of amazing solutions out there. However, not all VSATs are created equal and the mission dictates. Fear not my conventional force friends. I have been working even harder to figure out solutions for your budget and acquisition process. I made a post, maybe last week? about rolling out a rental program. Within 24hrs I exceeded my on hand inventory with 1 or 2 year rental agreements with 14 terminals. By the way, that isn't combined months. These units are asking for 1 or 2 year at a time agreements. Why even bother selling?? This tells me there is REAL demand for Satcubes in BIG DoD. Units have tried to purchase only to get stopped in the "upper" levels. I’ve heard reasons as to why. The number 1 reason standing out the most. PEO. I had a unit tell me their PEO rep said "no" because they never heard of Satcube. Probably true since no PEO will take my phone calls, emails, or in person meeting request. Also, almost all links on website are broken, or disconnected phone lines. Hey, if you're a PEO of Commercial SATCOM, your customers are trying to reach you. I'm just trying to do the right thing and go through a program... If anyone has ever worked or met a JCU Communicator in their time serving. We don't quit. We won't stop until the mission is done. Find a way or make a way. #liveinthegrey #SATCOM #adaptandovercome

SpaceX has achieved another significant milestone with its Starlink satellite network, now comprising over 320 "direct to cell" satellites, enabling the company to offer commercial cellular services. This development follows the FCC's approval to allow satellite-based cellular connectivity to unmodified smartphones. In partnership with T-Mobile, SpaceX plans to initiate a beta program for this service, starting with text messaging and later expanding to voice and data capabilities. https://lnkd.in/gd5ueQua In 2001, I was one of the earliest pioneers in the outdoor DAS space having designed, built and operated the very first neutral host networks throughout the canyons of Southern California and eventually, building ODAS throughout 40 US States and 2 Canadian provinces for nearly every major wireless service provider and new market entrant. In more than 12 years, there were none that we couldn't get done. It's almost surreal that CCI is surrendering 10,000 to 12,000 contracted sites considering the time, level of effort and soft costs both CCI and their anchor tenants spent, only to give up because they were unable to resolve their permitting and deployment problems. No doubt, ODAS is a difficult business to scale, but every problem has a solution which is why every toolbox needs a hammer. It sounds like CCI just lost theirs somewhere along the way. This marks the end of an era for greenfield, build to suit neutral host, CRAN architectures and the beginning of brownfield DRAN, ORAN, Cloud RAN and software defined radio networks built as shareable, Open Access mobile data networks. Subscribers no longer care which networks they connect to, as long as they can connect and building three separate networks to serve one customer base is a fast race to the bottom. Using existing fiber and infrastructure that's already there to build one common network they all can share means farewell to the neutral host, hello to Open Access.

The CPUC has partnered with Ready.net to provide a Challenge Portal where permissible challengers can register and submit challenges. On June 17, the CPUC will provide the map of eligible locations, access to the BEAD Consumer Challenge website, and the data sets of unserved locations, underserved locations, and CAIs. These will be available on the Challenge Portal.  Pre-registration for the Challenge Portal is currently open to permissible challengers (units of local and Tribal governments, nonprofits, and broadband service providers). Registration will remain open through the Rebuttal Phase to allow challenged Service Providers to register and provide counterevidence to rebut challenged locations. For technical assistance with the Portal, please contact [email protected].  The CPUC will hold a series of office hours for live questions on the BEAD Challenge Process. Dates and times will be posted on the BEAD Events page for registration once available.
