To solve the two current issues, I seriously need to use Blender for robot and environment descriptions. Issue 1: When I converted an OBJ file to an STL file in Blender and simply checked the URDF, I found that various parts were misaligned. Issue 2: When I applied rigid bodies and ran a physics simulation in IsaacSim, the simulation kept breaking down. After checking with NVIDIA, it seems that overlapping parts were the cause. Since Phobos, which handles URDF, should be available in Blender version 3, I am in the process of setting it up. Although there are still errors, I want to get it working soon and start Python operations in Blender by the end of this week. Happy Moldflow Monday!   Did you know there are multiple ways to inserts nodes on beams?   We need to ensure we have enough mesh resolution in gates and runners. If you decide you need more beam elements, you can insert a node (or nodes) within a beam element. This is a great feature however you will need to select each beam separately.   I am not a huge fan of the Remesh area tool for part meshes. However, for beam elements, using the Remesh Area tool will allow you select multiple beams at once, and use the slider/preview option to add the amount of resolution you need.   Have you tried the Insert Node on Beam or Remesh Area tool?   #moldflow #autodesk #autodeskemployee #simulation #CAE #mesh #simulationsoftware #helius #FEA
