    Interactive Campus Maps
The George Washington University Virtual tour features several interactive campus maps, allowing students and their parents to explore the entire institution online. Interactive campus maps allow institutions to showcase their facilities while making the campus accessible and fun to explore for visitors.

Video Tours, Panoramic Images and Photographs
The George Washington University Virtual tour includes a substantial amount of media, including video tours of certain buildings, panoramic images and photographs.

HTML5 Version Optimized for Smartphones, Tablets & Desktops
The George Washington University virtual tour and interactive map is built using HTML5 and is responsively designed for tablets and desktops. The tour also features includes a version for small screen devices like smartphones, iTouch and other Web enabled devices with screen sizes smaller than seven inches.

Global Positioning System (GPS) Integration for Smartphones and Tablets
This tour is GPS-enabled, allowing visitors to walk the campus with GPS-equipped smartphones and tablets, and obtain content on buildings or facilities as they approach those locations.

    Twitter Integration
The George Washington University virtual tour is one of the first virtual college tours to feature live program-specific Twitter feeds within each building. We have one of the best K-12 education systems in the country where we not only tell our young people to dream big, but more importantly provide tools for learners of all ages to follow through on their dreams. We have some of the top research institutions in the country over a wide spectrum of fields, with the infrastructure to develop ideas and begin to put them into practice. Perhaps most importantly, we have a community of entrepreneurial individuals who in spite of the very real risk of failure put their energy and sweat and savings into creating opportunities for themselves and others. I am declaring 2012 “The Year of the Entrepreneur” in Virginia to recognize these individuals, to study why they’re successful in Virginia and to inspire others in Virginia and around the world to turn big ideas into reality here in the Commonwealth.
