I’ve officially earned my CompTIA CySA+ certification! My CyberGirl journey has been life-changing. I’ve gained Cybersecurity skills and certifications, including the CompTIA CySA+ certification. What I’ve Learned during this process: 1.     Threat Detection: Using analytics and machine learning to identify and neutralize threats early. 2.     Vulnerability Management: Prioritizing and addressing vulnerabilities to keep systems secure. 3.     Incident Response: Developing strategies to minimize the impact of security breaches. 4.     Security Architecture: Building secure systems through rigorous testing and best practices. 5.      Compliance & Risk: Aligning security with regulatory standards to mitigate organisational risk. If you read the Bible and are a note-taker, I'd recommend checking out Obsidian + the MyBible community plugin. Allows you to pull the text of various Bibles into Obsidian for reference. Pretty sweet addon to Obsidian which is my favorite note taking app. #bible #technology #notes #notetaking #scripture #tech #IT

I've been thinking for a while on what to do with my account here. What I've come up with is to go through the different domains, and sections within the domains, in CompTIA Security+ and write blog posts about them. These will be for the ones that are just learning about cyber security, and to see why it is important to know the information. My goal is to post every weekend, except for the first one. Here's to you, Mr. and Mrs. Under-rated Desktop Support Personnel. Feel under appreciated? Here is why you need respect. 📺 Because of you, your grandparent's remote is programmed to work the DirecTV and their new SmartTV. 💻 Because of you, your family reunion has become the time for everyone to bring their PC and drop off for you to take home and fix. 👨‍⚕️ Because of you, your cousin's friend's aunt now has 24/7 tech support. 🦠 Because of you, your parents can click any link on the internet because you will fix it. Truth is, I started in Desktop Support. I know it can be hard. So many different things are expected from you no matter what time or day it is. Even though you don't have a fancy title such as Engineer, Pentester, Architect, or Manager in your profile yet, you are the first line of defense. If anything, you need even more respect because of what is being asked of you. To the Engineers, Red Teamers, Blue Teamers, and Managers out there, it's time to give Desktop Support personnel the respect they deserve. Mentor them. They are the future of Cyber Security. If you are in Desktop Support and you are aspiring to get into Cyber Security, guess what. You're already doing it: ✅ You teach users every single day what not to click. ✅ You are the first line of defense when their computer is being suspicious. ✅ You are teaching them good habits. Absorb as much knowledge as you can. This position you are in, is one of the most important positions you will ever be in. Use it to your advantage. Understanding how a user thinks and operates will one day help you when you are a top notch Red Teamer. Here's to you Mr. and Mrs. Under-Rated Desktop Support Personnel, I respect you, we respect you, and the entire Cyber Security community respects you. Happy Monday! This morning I learned about the benefits and risks involved in cloud services. I also realize I need to add Python to my skillset to be able to create and analyze scripts. Yesterday I managed to finish Part 8 of LinkedIn Learning CompTIA A+ Core 1 video but it was first time that I experienced some problems with LinkedIn Learning platform. I am not sure if anyone experienced that after you finish complete part of the course instead of getting certificate you are redirected to start over. I tested everything in few browsers with and without incognito mode, clearing cache, changing OS and even computers but same thing happened. When I really didn't know what to do anything else I went to support which was first greeted with AI that failed miserably in solving problem so I asked for operator which also was not able to immediately solve problem. In the end after three times replaying course material system behind it realised it is done. So yep this is AI powered system and one day it is going to take over the world. With experience from yesterday it is not going to happen any time soon. But I find it great for research and that is my favourite thing so far. I started last Part 9 today and Core 1 should be done. I quite enjoyed that course. It is IT basics but I picked so many interesting facts so it was really really worth it. Looking forward to Core 2. It is really important to go with basics like this and I know that many are skipping stuff like this but you don't have to certify just go and watch it and if you like books read a book about it you will have that solid foundation. Also I managed to finish Red Team Engagements room on TryHackMe. Really like PenTest+ Path. Next three rooms are very exciting. First one coming is Metasploit than Wireshark and Burp Suite. Looking forward to all three. Now I am activating again my journey in Hack The Box Academy and also starting Hack The Box. It is time to start doing slowly some CTFs. It is going to be a lot of fun.
