In order to solve the problem with bike storage and transportation around the UIUC community, we proposed a solution to the campus administration for proposed bike stations located at major buildings on campus that would provide security, safety, news and information, and shelter to bike riders around the community. We proposed this idea after competing in the annual 54 Startup Weekend Competition sponsored by the Founders student organization every year.

EARTHRISE is a balloon-launched suborbital engineering trial of a new type of educational tool - one that relies upon recent leaps forward in consumer technology to fundamentally alter the communication dynamics surrounding climate change. Consisting of a high-resolution infrared camera, a matching array of visible cameras, and a suite of basic atmospheric sensors, EARTHRISE will capture atmospheric data able to be crafted into a powerful visualization of the greenhouse effect as it exists on our planet. It will also pave the way for inexpensive, consumer-level payload replicas launched on hand balloons to bring hands-on climate science to communities across the world.
