    At CosmoProf, we were a distribution node built on M&A growth that assumed distribution rights which had created a transactional selling culture across the US & Canada. We knew from customer insights that our stylists and salon owners were looking for inspiration and knowledge when shopping for Color and Hair Care.
    This created a huge gap in our value prop and within the industry as no one was filling this void.

    At CosmoProf, we were a distribution node built on M&A growth that assumed distribution rights which had created a transactional selling culture across the US & Canada. We knew from customer insights that our stylists and salon owners were looking for inspiration and knowledge when shopping for Color and Hair Care.
    This created a huge gap in our value prop and within the industry as no one was filling this void.
    Led the creation of the color and curl concierge role; developed testing, curriculum, and certification that created 30 times the annual education hours required to maintain licensing. We grew sales 5% in these centers along with increased service scores, increased in-store traffic, decreased turnover, and increased internal promotions as +50% of these associates were moving into leadership positions.
    From our test results we decided to take these learnings to the industry. Created and led the first non-industry hair shows that now deliver over 600K certification hours/year.
    Collaborated with Beauty vendor partners (JPMS, Olaplex, Kao, Matrix, Wella, etc.) to donate time and educator hours to create 2-day programs full of education, open forums, panel chats, platform artistry, hair competitions, and business classes where stylists pick their path of +45 events that are offered over the 2-day program.
    Created digital library to allow access for the stylists to have after the events.
    Worked with each state to ensure we had the requirements met for curriculum credits.
    Competition started trying their hand at the event space after our first year doing these and CosmoProf is still the best-in-class place for education & innovation.

    With the rapid growth of the organization, we did not have a consistent set of core values to collaboratively inform leaders on how to lead. There were no formal leadership programs to underpin development; 9-box succession planning, IDPs, Coaching models based on the values/competencies, or high potential programs.

    Created and launched 9 box assessments, coaching workshops, mentorship program, customer service workshops, de-escalation training, safety training, and core leadership training programs.
    Cut 40% of corporate G&A to redistribute to redistribute and decentralize appropriate work into the field
    Created 300% more field leadership positions to go from once-a-year visit cadence to twice-a-month. 100% of these positions were filled internally through our monarch program (17 District Directors and 3 AVPs).
    Sales Results improved dramatically above industry trends; safety, service, and cleanliness all increased as well. Corporate change management time also decreased as we leveraged internal field talent with corporate departments to create voice of the field in any and all launches.
