The prolonged finalization phase may delay the ETFs from commencing trading. The SEC has instructed issuers to submit draft S-1 filings, and Gensler's comments indicate a potentially slow approval process. The iterative process, expected to take several weeks or months, will involve the SEC giving feedback and prompting further changes. The arrival of Ethereum ETFs is anticipated to lead to significant capital inflow and decrease the circulating Ethereum supply, potentially driving prices to new all-time highs. The SEC's detailed review process reflects a prudent approach to regulating these financial instruments, while the swift actions of companies like BlackRock demonstrate market demand and readiness for these new investment vehicles.

In recent weeks, institutional adoption of money market fund tokenization has gained significant momentum. What we began at Ondo two years ago has now accelerated into high gear. Here are some key developments you may have missed 👇 1. Ondo Finance was proud to announce our plans to bring our onchain transaction technology to a New Tokenized U.S. Treasury Fund sub-managed by Wellington Management and tokenized by Libeara. Libeara, a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform backed by SC Ventures by Standard Chartered, announced a strategic collaboration with FundBridge Capital, an established Singapore MAS-regulated platform provider for fund managers, to introduce the Fund. Wellington Management Singapore Pte. Ltd. will act as sub-manager for the Fund. Ondo Finance intends to utilize our technology to enable transactions in the Fund’s tokens, a critical component for the fund’s use as collateral and seamless cross-border settlement. Coalition Greenwich (a division of CRISIL) said in its 'Top market structure trends to watch in 2025' paper that traditional firms are introducing access to TradFi assets via DeFi mechanisms. Traditional investors can trade crypto via exchange-traded funds, futures and options to gain access to the asset class though their existing accounts. In the other direction, DeFi investors can earn yield in on-chain stablecoins backed by a huge asset manager holding U.S. government debt.
