How can you ensure security is a top priority for your organization?
Consider being pragmatic and mindful about the every day user experience when implementing security best practices. Imagine a wide open office network that can be used by guests and visitors without guest WiFi passwords that are simply inconvenient to share and may end up on just too many whiteboards. Fingerprint and multi factor employee devices to allow them to access corporate resources in a secure and perhaps Beyond Corp or similar way. For employees that brings consistency to resource access from inside and outside the office. The above is simply one example to make the point. Consider exploring and practicing secure UX everywhere. Employee velocity and their happiness may increase.

Define a security brightline that defines an impact threshold to make business tradeoff decisions about spending energy towards security fixes versus shipping the next product easy. Consider for your security posture assessment to clearly distinguish what should be worked on because the risk reward ratio is well within your brightline.

Security should be a healthy habit practiced by everyone in the organization, especially all the way from the top. Consider a secure culture that does not feel like a burden, but a rewarding pleasure where boring uneventful operations is rewarded over heroes fire fighting exploits, including leaks, DDoS attacks, impersonation, and identity theft.

The VASA-1 Microsoft paper is just what PrepsUs needs to do unmoderated user interviews. For user interviews, AWS Chime SDK is utilized (with some additional flare). This allows me to run real-time AI operations on video. I will work on building a VASA-1 clone so product managers can use videos of their previous interviews and an image of an auto-generated person and environment. We’ve been big believers in interoperability since our company’s founding when we launched Observability Pipelines. Late last year, we pushed this vision forward by adopting the #OpenTelemetry schema as our single standard for log data in Edge Delta. Today’s news is another step toward true open observability. With this update, you can collect logs and metrics from your OTLP-configured sources into Edge Delta in a matter of clicks. From there, you’ll receive OTLP structured data with no additional configuration. What Are Sidecar Containers in Kubernetes? Imagine you’re at a concert. Your application is the main performer on stage, rocking out and stealing the spotlight. But behind the scenes, there's a crew making sure everything goes smoothly – like sound engineers, lighting techs, and stagehands. Think of sidecar containers as that backstage crew, quietly supporting your main application to make sure it performs its best. In Kubernetes, a sidecar container is a helper container that runs alongside your primary application container within the same Pod. It shares the same network and storage, which means they can easily communicate and collaborate to make your application more robust. Real-World Examples: Logging and Monitoring: Collect logs from your main application and ship them off to a central log management system. Service Mesh Proxies: Istio use sidecar containers to manage communication between microservices, Handle load balancing, retries, and monitoring without requiring any changes to the application code. Configuration and Secrets Management: A sidecar container can manage and update configuration files or secrets for your main application, ensuring it always has the latest settings. #kubernetes #Docker #Containers
