In this study, we explore how intangible resources like adhocracy culture, information sharing, and supplier trust influence 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 in a ℎ𝑖𝑔ℎ-𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑒𝑛𝑣𝑖𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡. #New_publication Weather risk in supply chain has become a potential issue. We propose a new class of contract, a weather rebate sharing contract, that enhances the supply chain performance under weather risk. The new contract uses weather derivatives (financial risk hedging) to minimize weather risk in supply chains. We have investigated the performance of the traditional revenue sharing contract and our designed contract under weather risk by using industry demand data and corresponding temperature data. Results show that our designed contract performs better than the widely used revenue sharing contract. We recommend that practitioners use this proposed class of contract for administering the supply chain under weather-related uncertainties. To know more please check out our latest publication. Postponement, also called delayed differentiation is a product design or supply chain strategy that deliberately delays final differentiation (i.e., assembly, production, packaging, tagging, etc.) until the latest possible time in the process. This shifts product differentiation closer to the consumer to reduce the anticipatory risk, eliminating excess inventory in the form of finished goods in the supply chain.
