How can you maintain a positive relationship with repeat podcast guests?
In addition to posting, tagging, and following up with your guest (sharing publication dates and URLs), create promotional marketing materials for their episode to share on their own platforms. Instagram graphics, TikTok reels, LinkedIn post, email blast. Treat it like an affiliate program with swipe copy. Make it easy so they just have to paste in the thoughtful knowledge they shared. Follow up. I have been a guest on many podcasts and was never even notified it went live.

You're aiming to connect with new podcast guests. How can you quickly gain their trust and build rapport?
In your scheduler link (whatever system you use where they submit a bio and choose a time slot, I use Calendly), allow them to enter possible (optional) questions that you might ask them. Spend 5-10 minutes before the call looking them up on YouTube (to find podcasts they appeared on), LinkedIn (search for other people's posts containing their name), then click into their profile and read their most recent LinkedIn posts. Don't try to hijack the conversion or one-up them. Make it about them. When they make an excellent point, do your best to recap what they said to ensure you digest and understand.
