  • Automated Braille Education Device

    -

    o 1st place in the Senior Capstone Engineering Design Competition
    o A device for the visually impaired to independently learn Braille using audio feedback and a 5-character refreshable Braille display.
    o Responsible for the design of the electronics and software control
    o Programed an Arduino with additional shields to play mp3 files, display text on an LCD, and independently actuate 30 3D printed Braille pins using Flexinol, a shape memory alloy.
