SDPC Salary Schedule For Teachers Looking forward to meeting with superintendents from other states next week to discuss many topics! One topic that is certain to come up is the teacher salary schedule. Our state of South Carolina and school district have made improvements with our Teacher Salary Schedule. Over the past ten years, SDPC has lowered the Operating Millage by 1.3 mills but have remained competitive with our salary schedule. Our range is $49,100 (first year bachelor) to $90,944 (32 years with doctorate). Competitive pay - this is one of the top five factors in having all classrooms (16,000+ students) with a certified teacher on day one. #EngagingToday #EmpoweringTomorrow

Attention Texas LOTE Teachers and those who support them: Did you know that the Region 13 ESC is offering a special training specifically for new and new-ish Texas LOTE teachers? 14 Educators representing 5 different local school districts met today for our second Knowledge Gap study and discussion! We had a very productive exchange of ideas. My favorite part was that some of the teachers from my home district shared that this book and discussion makes them feel more confident as we work to implement #Amplify CKLA in the Fall. The shift to a knowledge-building curriculum brings a shift in approach for us, but it is one that our teachers are looking forward to with excitement now 🎉📚🧡 My biggest takeaway? Instructional change has to begin with teacher knowledge. If you want buy-in, help teachers to find their “why”! When they are sold on the why, the “how” and “what” become solutions to the problem that THEY want to solve, rather than something they are being forced to do. We can’t wait to offer these enhanced learning experiences for our students this year 🎉📚🧡
