I’m honored to be appointed by Nevada’s Governor, Joe Lombardo, to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Nevada Employee Savings Trust. Nevada will soon become the latest state to implement a state retirement savings program for private-sector workers to address the retirement savings concerns in Nevada. The Nevada Employee Savings Trust, effective July 2025, requires certain employers to provide a retirement savings plan for their employees or enroll them in a state-sponsored plan according to the Nevada Senate Bill 305: • Employers with an existing retirement program are exempt. • Employers with less than five employees are exempt. • Employers in business for less than 36 months are exempt. • Employees are automatically enrolled by default at 120 days of employment. • Employees may elect to opt-out.

The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority has secured $50 million in federal funding to renovate Marble Manor in Las Vegas’ Historic Westside, a development that’s long been anticipated by the community. The project will revitalize 627 mixed-income housing units and add shopping amenities. Broadbent & Associates, Inc. and BEC Environmental, Inc. completed the Section 106 Consultation, Environmental Assessment and Environmental Review, helping make this long-awaited project a reality. California Lutheran Homes (CLH) has partnered with Lutheran Social Services of Northern California (LSSNC) to help provide affordable housing for those in need. CLH recently provided a $2.79 million construction loan to LSSNC so it can qualify for the California Department of Housing and Community Development Portfolio Reinvestment Program.
