    Colorado Timberline Academy is a private boarding school located 12.5 miles North of Durango Colorado. Established as a school for students interested in competitive skiing, CTA attracted a staff of Ivy league educated teachers and provided a unique and rewarding educational experience.     Colorado Timberline Academy is a private boarding school located 12.5 miles North of Durango Colorado. Established as a school for students interested in competitive skiing, CTA attracted a staff of Ivy league educated teachers and provided a unique and rewarding educational experience. Students were challenged throughout the year both mentally and physically to push themselves to achieve tasks unimaginable for most high school aged individuals. Activities often included rugged hikes over multiple days (The Grand Canyon, North to South rim) and a (5 day, 50 mile Continental Divide Trail hike) to name a few. Competitive ski racing was a major draw to this school and thusly, a US Olympic Coach was hired for those of us who qualified to race on the USSA circuit. I competed in both Slalom and Giant Slalom categories with the desire to earn a seat on the US Olympic Ski Team.

    Responsible for providing 2 meals on a monthly basis for enrollees in the Inspiration Corporations re-integration program. Their program serves homeless individuals with dignity and respect in a beautiful restaurant atmosphere. This role included creating the menu, acquiring all food items, organizing a cooking staff and service crew, food preparation and service to 50-60 individuals.     Responsible for providing 2 meals on a monthly basis for enrollees in the Inspiration Corporations re-integration program. Their program serves homeless individuals with dignity and respect in a beautiful restaurant atmosphere. This role included creating the menu, acquiring all food items, organizing a cooking staff and service crew, food preparation and service to 50-60 individuals. My crew was so successful that after beginning the program by providing 1 meal each month, we expanded to include a second. My crew continues providing their time, energy, commitment and passion to this excellent cause to this day.
