Thanks to Diagnostic Imaging Europe & Mélisande Rouger for the opportunity to discuss sustainability during #ECR2024. Key takeaways: 1. Sustainability was already big at #ECR2024. I can't wait for the Planet Radiology theme of #ECR2025 under the visionary leadership of Andrea Rockall. 2. The US has been slower than EU to adopt regulatory and policy approaches towards sustainability. Instead, in the US, promoting sustainable practices rely more on an economic rationale. We can call this approach "Greening the green". 3. Sustainability is more than reducing environmental waste; it also includes supporting a healthcare workforce that is already overstretched, as well as ensuring the financial viability of hospitals, especially in rural areas. 4. Half of the world's population--4 billion people-- are heading to the polls this year. For those who can, let's take the opportunity to vote for leaders who understand the importance of addressing climate change. Our children and grandchildren will thank us!

An IPFF is a devastating complication following total joint arthroplasty with high reoperation rates, most commonly secondary to PJI. Those IPFFs that occurred between 2 stemmed components were at the highest risk for reoperation. https://lnkd.in/g43j8D3w

Ganglion cysts are thin walled cavities contain a viscous, mucinous fluid, arising in proximity to joint capsules/tendon sheaths but do not communicate with the joint.
