I began my career in IT Audit and have spent the past six years working in this dynamic and rewarding space. My role involves ensuring the compliance of my clients’ IT systems with frameworks, legislation, and internal governance. I’ve had the opportunity to implement GRC functions across a diverse range of organizations, from startups to Fortune 1000 companies. I’ve remained committed to this field because I genuinely enjoy the work and its impact. I hold three ISACA certifications—CISA, CISM, and CISSP—which underscore my commitment to professional development and continuing education. My involvement with the ISACA Atlanta Chapter began during Geek Week 2024, where I helped launch our student outreach program. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of participating in initiatives like hosting a student panel at our inaugural Cybersecurity Conference and volunteering at a career fair with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. These experiences have fueled my passion for empowering the next generation to take ownership of their careers. As VP of GRC, my vision includes: * Expanding Student Outreach: I aim to develop a member-based mentorship program to connect our members with the next generation of IT professionals, fostering growth and opportunity. * Strengthening Governance: I plan to revamp the chapter’s policies and procedures to ensure alignment with both our goals and ISACA’s overarching mission. * Promoting Diversity: I want to champion diversity within our chapter, recognizing that learning from peers with varied backgrounds, experiences, and stories makes us stronger as individuals and as a community. On July 17, GSA published an advanced notice for Refresh 22 of the MAS solicitation. Refresh 22 included the expansion of Transactional Data Reporting (TDR) as an option for contractors to 67 new SINs. This TDR expansion is another positive step forward for GSA as it seeks to modernize the program by creating a market-centric framework that enhances competition, value, and innovation. GSA is to be commended for its efforts to date in adopting and implementing TDR.
