Advancing Data Transmission: PCIe Gen 6.0 In 2021, PCI-SIG unveiled the PCIe 6.0 standard, a significant leap in data transfer capabilities with speeds reaching 64 GT/s—double the rate of its predecessor, PCIe 5.0. This milestone not only enhances data throughput but also maintains backward compatibility with previous PCIe versions, ensuring seamless integration across platforms. A key innovation in PCIe 6.0 is the adoption of PAM4 (Pulse Amplitude Modulation with 4 levels), a technology that marks a departure from the NRZ (Non-Return-to-Zero) encoding used in earlier generations. PAM4 increases the efficiency of data transmission by encoding two bits per symbol, effectively doubling the data capacity compared to previous standards. This allows PCIe 6.0 to deliver exceptional performance while optimizing power consumption. Although platforms utilizing PCIe 6.0 are still emerging, the standard is poised to drive the future of high-performance computing, data centers, AI, and IoT, meeting the growing demands for faster and more efficient data processing.

🔍 Why are modern loop #antennas better than old conventional chip antennas? 🔄 Niche is a magnetic loop antenna. The #ZERØ antennas in my study are electric antennas. Loop antennas have no hand effect. Electric antennas like ZERØ and most chip antennas have a hand effect. Hand effect means that the center frequency of the antenna shifts when objects are nearby. The return loss curve shifts. The losses in the antenna increase. The energy consumption increases. 📹 #GNSS Chip Loop #Antenna 🔍 The video below shows a GNSS chip loop antenna from my IoT M2M Cookbook. We inserted a steak into the GNSS antenna's radio field. The center frequency remains stable. Only the maximum of the return loss changes slightly. Despite the obstruction, the antenna still receives well. We have the same positive effect with #LTE or #NBIoT and #LTEM. The center frequency for cellular radio connection remains stable. With electric antennas, the center frequency would shift, energy consumption would increase, or the connection might even drop. 🛰️ Pet, Person, Parcel Tracking with Niche Antennas 📡 A pet #tracker, person tracker, or parcel tracker with #Abracon Niche antennas with NB-IoT, LTE-M, or 5G NTN require less energy than with traditional electric chip antennas. The same applies to GNSS. #Crout device templates with Niche antennas can be easily copied by any IoT developer. This is often not possible with electric chip antennas. Niche can be controlled well with the #MIPI RFFE bus of the #AltairSoC #ALT1250 and #ALT1350. 🔊 5G NTN Early Adopter Program 📡 The largest project in the #5G #NTN Early Adopter Program of #DTAG is served by my antenna team and receives Niche antennas. If I get approval, I will report on the intermediate steps. 🔍 Additional Images in the Video 🛰️ The further images in the video show the frequency range of LTE Niche. We use the GNSS module in the ALT1250 and the internal switching between NB-IoT, LTE-M, 5G NTN, and #GNSS. The internal MCU of the ALT1250 is not used in this project. Here is a cascading op amp circuit I made. I am using a transimpedance amp to first amplify the photodiode signal, followed by a non-inverting amp, and then the final amp is a Unity Gain, or buffer amplifier. I will upload a demonstration shortly
