Good morning, Market Insight: *German PPI MM 0.2 v 0.3 exp and 0.2 prev. *German PPI YY -3.3 v -3.2 exp and -2.9 prev. *Canadian CPI due out shortly *Fed’s Waller speaks at 8am cst *Fed’s Barkin speaks at 8am cst *Fed’s Bostic speaks at 8:10am cst *Fed’s Mester speaks this afternoon Call outs- *Nat Gas prices are up +31% since May 1, Copper prices +14%, Platinum +14%, Silver +16.90%, Wheat +17%, Soybeans +5% while coincidentally the 10yr yield has dropped nearly -40bps (its not a coincidence FYI). So if the market wants to continue to play (and chase) the “rate cut” game in the face of re-accelerating inflation – we’ll just continue to be long of commodities. *Bitcoin prices +1.46% overnight and +22% MTD and +5% from a new ATH – we trimmed here yesterday, will likely again today. *Stock stabilize ahead of NVDA earnings release tomorrow Energy: This drop back into the $77 handle in crude oil only gets me more interested in the long side of energy from here as the year moves forward. The move higher in Nat Gas is consistent with the recent weakness in Crude (NG up, Oil down – that’s been an identifiable trend for the past few years). Saudi production has declined, but exports have ramped to a 9 month high.
