An overview of Really Simple Syndication
- Now that we're ready to deliver the podcast, it's time to revisit RSS or real simple syndication. This is the technology that's going to drive your podcast and ensure that all the episodes are delivered. Without RSS a podcast will not work. Remember RSS is the same technology that's used in a blog engine. RSS is real simple syndication. It's a document that tends to be written in the XML code language, but many podcast hosts will build this for you. We call it a feed because it feeds content and contains information about the audio and video files contained within. XML is an language that has been around for a long time. It's extensible markup language.
