- While we've already talked about methods for recording audio using voiceover IP, you're probably going to want a dedicate audio editor. This will be ideal if you're going to be editing audio podcast, but it can also be used for advanced editing for even video podcast where you want to have additional controls that might not be found in your non-linear editor. Let's talk about three common tools. If you're on a Mac, you might find yourself using Garage Band. This is a piece of software that's built into your Mac, and you'll see under project templates that you can open up a voice template here, for example. When you do so, it'll set things up and this allows you to have multiple tracks. you could record into here or actually open up or import files.
