Air Force Historical Foundation’s Post

1943: Lt Gen Henry Hap Arnold received his fourth star, making him the first four-star general for the US Army Air Forces. “Hap” Arnold would later receive a 5th star and, after the creation of the US Air Force in 1947, became the first 5-star general to hold the rank in two services when President Truman transferred him to the USAF.

We have a road named in his honor in Dublin, CA. Actually, it started as Arnold Road within Parks Air Force Base (1952-1959). I wonder how many roads, streets, avenues and such are named after General Arnold all over the U.S.
