🌟 Why Having Insurance is Crucial for New Professionals 🌟 Starting a new job is an exciting milestone, but it also comes with its own set of challenges and uncertainties. One of the smartest moves you can make as a new professional is ensuring you have comprehensive insurance coverage. Here’s why: 1. Peace of Mind: Insurance provides a safety net, allowing you to focus on your new role without worrying about unexpected medical expenses or accidents. 2. Financial Security: With health, dental, vision, and life insurance, you protect yourself from significant financial burdens that can arise from unforeseen events. 3. Access to Quality Healthcare: Employer-provided health insurance often comes with access to a network of healthcare providers, ensuring you receive timely and quality medical care. 4. Attractive Employee Benefits: Companies offering comprehensive insurance packages are often seen as more attractive employers, which can lead to better job satisfaction and retention. 5. Family Protection: If you have dependents, insurance ensures that they are also covered, providing an additional layer of security for your loved ones. 6. Legal Compliance: Some forms of insurance, such as worker’s compensation, are mandated by law, ensuring you are compliant with regulations. Your health and well-being are paramount. By investing in the right insurance, you're not just protecting yourself; you're setting the foundation for a successful and stress-free career. #NewJob #InsuranceBenefits #FinancialSecurity #CareerAdvice #EmployeeBenefits ---

This week, one of my European clients told me about a friend of his, who recently had a stroke and ended up claiming US$350,000 from his Critical Illness insurance. After that, the friend decided to buy even more insurance (I was a bit confused because I thought insurance usually doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions, but that's not the point of today). For many Europeans, insurance can be quite puzzling. My client couldn’t understand why anyone would want to buy it, saying it feels like betting on getting sick. In his view, if you do get sick, you “win” by receiving a payout. He went on and shared his calculations with me, showing how much the total premiums would amount to over 50 years, saying it would be a waste of money if you never end up needing to use the coverage. To me, insurance is not really about winning or losing. In many places, especially in Asia, there’s no unemployment income to fall back on. If someone gets seriously ill, they might not be able to work (or they might choose not to return to work). Plus, if you go for private healthcare, those medical bills can add up quickly. Ultimately, it comes down to your values and financial situation: - How much do you value your health? - Can you afford your medical bills if something happens? - Can you live off your savings or investments if you can’t return to work? - Do you have dependents who rely on you? - How much peace of mind does insurance provide for you? - How would you feel if something happened and you didn’t have insurance? There’s no right or wrong answer when it comes to getting insurance, it’s all about making informed decisions. If you can answer the aforementioned questions and ensure your actions align with your thoughts, then you're on the right track. And you, what’s your stance on insurance?

This really happened... Me: “Your employer is providing Life Insurance for you at no cost to you! I just need to get your beneficiary information.” Employee: “No thanks. I don’t want it.” What would cause an employee to say they don’t want FREE Life Insurance from their employer? Can we ever have "too much" life insurance to pass on the opportunity for more, at no cost to us? This is a real conversation I had recently during a new client's open enrollment meetings. There was no language barrier. I believe initially there was a barrier to TRUST, and I had to break it down and build trust with this employee. The insurance marketplace causes many of us to lack trust in the "system." 📣 Education and communication can help foster trust with employees. As a benefits broker, I am called to educate employees so they understand the details of their coverage and to spell it out in simple, real life terms. I am also here as a resource for them when questions or issues arise. If you would like learn more about how our team educates and communicates benefits to employees and how we build a partnership of trust, please reach out to us here at Lone Star Benefits, Inc. ⭐ #employeebenefits #benefitscommunication #hr #humanresources #trust

“𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨” Earlier this year, I met Mr. K, and that’s what he told me. Despite my advice on the importance of personal coverage for unexpected life changes and the gaps, he was confident his company’s insurance was enough. 📞 We lost touch for a while, but yesterday, I got an unexpected call from him. “Paulina, do you have any insurance options for me?” he asked. I was surprised, how did he change his mind in just a few months? After switching jobs, Mr. K discovered during his pre-employment health check that he has diabetes. His new company’s insurance couldn’t cover this pre-existing condition, leaving him without coverage. 🚫 Knowing diabetes is often a decline case, I still tried to help with an appeal, but sadly it didn’t go through. 𝘔𝘳. 𝘒 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘏𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥. I can’t help but wonder, should I have pushed him more? I gave my best advice, but pushing isn’t my style. Although I have given my best advise, it still takes 2 hands to make it work. Don’t you think so? It’s important to remember that company insurance is a base, but it’s not comprehensive, and relying solely on it can be risky. 👉𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 The company can cut costs and change the package, which could suddenly reduce the coverage or exclude conditions that were previously covered 👉 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲: If one have diabetes and the company covers it, leaving for a new company would mean losing this coverage. The new company may not cover due to pre existing condition 👉 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 At that stage, getting private insurance can be costly due to age and risk of being declined due to potential health conditions 👉 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 Company policies often provide basic coverage that may not fully cover high healthcare costs for serious conditions. #companyinsurance #limitations

Don't do this while buying any insurance 🏥 The Critical Importance of Honesty in Insurance Applications 🤝 When purchasing insurance, there's one golden rule that can't be overlooked: always disclose your pre-existing health conditions. Here's why transparency is not just ethical, but crucial for your financial and medical protection: 1. Legal Validity Matters Hiding pre-existing health issues is more than just a minor omission—it's a form of insurance fraud. If discovered, your policy can be immediately voided, leaving you without critical coverage when you need it most. Insurance companies have robust medical investigation processes that can uncover undisclosed conditions. 2. Financial Protection at Stake While it might seem tempting to lower your premiums by omitting health details, the long-term consequences are devastating. A denied claim due to non-disclosure can leave you with massive out-of-pocket medical expenses that far exceed any short-term premium savings. 3. Proper Risk Assessment Insurance is fundamentally about accurate risk assessment. By fully disclosing your health history, you enable insurers to provide the most appropriate coverage tailored to your specific needs. This ensures you get the right protection at a fair price. 4. Peace of Mind Imagine the stress of knowing your insurance might not cover you during a critical health emergency simply because you weren't upfront initially. Full disclosure provides genuine peace of mind and ensures comprehensive protection. Pro Tip: Work with a trusted insurance advisor who can help you navigate complex application processes and understand how pre-existing conditions might impact your coverage. Transparency isn't just a virtue—it's your best insurance strategy. 💡🛡️ 📲 Do call us at 📞 +91-9952606222 or drop an E-mail for any queries 📩 [email protected] Liked this post?
