But where does Taiwan fit in? Since 2020, Taiwan has aimed to expand its asset management sector, encouraging capital repatriation and easing regulations. While the market has grown, most gains remain domestic, with foreign institutions still hesitant to enter. Now, the government is pushing further, with deregulation and Kaohsiung’s development as a financial hub. But will these efforts be enough to bring Taiwan into the regional spotlight?
