AI Voice Interactions: From Sci-Fi to Reality - The Future of UX? Don’t think AI is going to drastically change things? Take a quick read/listen to this article by Ethan Mollick and his experience with ChatGPT Voice. The ease of the voice conversation is something right out of Star Trek. Most of us have only experienced mediocre to terrible voice AI. There doesn’t appear to be any reason something like this won’t replace all the super annoying call center voice prompts at the very least. But it will be exciting to see how it really revolutionizes human computer interaction. Seems likely we will be reimagining UX to include some form of voice interaction in the coming years (months?). #AIVoice #UXDesign #FutureOfTech #InnovationInTech #AIRevolution

Despite the undeniable appeal of automation and speed, there is ongoing debate about AI's ability to replace human intelligence in qualitative analysis, which may be unlikely at this moment. This begs the question—To what extent can AI contribute to qualitative data analysis? 🤔 Weidan Li's case study, "Qualitative synthesis with ChatGPT: Better or worse than human intelligence?" will dive into principles of how to employ ChatGPT in qualitative analysis, specifically focusing on its application in synthesizing and crafting frameworks that convey compelling and insightful narratives. Secure your spot at Designing with AI, taking place virtually on June 4-5, to learn from practical case studies about how and when to collaborate with AI, and what the pros and cons of that could be. When we posted this in 2021, the world was a different place. ChatGPT & other Gen AI tools were yet to make an entry. People were trying to make best out of a "Remote" world where the need for digital-first experiences & services shot up exponentially. Today AI dominates every conversation & design is no longer treated as a "good to have". Yet almost all of these ideas still hold true, AI or no AI. Give it read & let us know what you believe UX designers tend to overlook. #uxdesign #uxdesigners #designthinking #uiux #netbramha #designstudio #ai #generativeai

I'm happy to announce that I have received the The Interaction Design Foundation : AI for Designers! My journey with AI began long before the course, when I explored various AI tools to streamline service design tasks. I've tried ChatGPT for automating repetitive tasks, Miro AI for summarising and translating, and TheyDo for journey mapping. With my partner in crime, a product researcher Ihor Perminov, we've experimented with numerous tools for transcribing speech to text. Extracting product and business opportunities from customer interviews in multilingual markets can be quite a challenge if you're not a polyglot genius! However, AI tools have significantly reduced the time it takes to translate from days to minutes. One of the highlights of this journey was hosting a session on AI experience sharing with our Insights and Customer Experience team. Sharing isn't just caring, it helps improve everyone's workflow and fosters a collaborative environment. And nicely spend lunch time with the colleagues :) I'm eager to continue growing my knowledge and applying these insights improving customer experience across digital and physiscal touchpoints. What ai tools do you use, my friends? #AI #Design #ServiceDesign #ContinuousLearning #CustomerExperience #Innovation

Remember Alexa? In 2015 we were on the precipice of a new revolution in artificial intelligence. It feels the same way today. But just as it took several years to identify what voice assistants were actually useful for, businesses are only now starting to figure out what generative AI means for their products. Our latest piece outlines 5 lessons learned in 8 years of helping the world’s leading companies develop AI products. We demonstrate how we’ve helped product and business leaders cut through the hype to identify what’s really valuable, and what’s not. #ai #product #research #tech #business #strategy #ux

In 2015, Wired proclaimed a revolution in digital assistants—a prophecy that would shape the next wave of AI innovation. As we journey from the AI hype of Amazon's Alexa to today's sophisticated LLMs, certain truths remain unchanged. This narrative that we’re publishing today delves into five foundational lessons learned over the years, revealing how our interactions with AI have evolved. By examining real-world examples of our work across healthcare, travel, music and more, we uncover the nuanced relationship between humans and machines, offering our perspective on designing AI products that resonate deeply with users. If you want to know more about the Grounded AI approach we've developed at Stripe Partners do get in touch with Tom Hoy or me.

Rethinking the AI as a designer 🛠️ Can we replace chat bots and how far we can actually go with AI 🤖 ? Just came across this article in Medium this morning https://lnkd.in/eTrJYzGw and the author has a really good point of how we should approach designing the AI tools. Currently they are pretty much just chat bots where you give it a prompt and it gives you back the summarised information or an image or a video. What really got me into a philosophical mood is the phrase that “we are entering an uncharted territory” and that the AI tools should be as intuitive as mobile phones. I’m pretty sure when the mobile phones could only make calls no one would imagine the extend we use the phones today. So what is the scale of AI? The author suggests to start designing the AI software as an assistant or a colleague you’d do whiteboarding with. So the whole chatbot thing could be replaced with some sort of a canvas. Like a Miro with an AI collaborator I imagine. I think it’d be pretty cool. And it got me wondering, what are we missing? Are we looking in a right direction at all? How long are we even going to use smartphones for? Or maybe AI is just a chatbot that can recycle a big book quickly and give you a short summary and that’s it? The technology has been out there for over 50 years… And I wouldn’t say that the television has changed much over the decades. So maybe we aren’t missing anything at all. What do you think? #ai #aitools #design #productdesign #foodforthought #ux #tech #ideation
