Anissa G.’s Post

Wait, what? Scott Kirsner just wrote his last column for The Boston Globe??? For those of you connected to the Boston tech scene, you know what a force he is. When I started my reporting career in Boston, Scott showed me that to cover tech companies and the people who run them well, you have to get up from your desk—meet people for coffee, go to people's offices/warehouses/labs, become a familiar face at conferences and events. He was always so "plugged in," and I wanted to emulate that style in my reporting process, too. Boston is really lucky for Scott's longtime coverage of companies like TripAdvisor, HubSpot, iRobot, the startup/VC scene, and the impact of institutions like MIT. I've always admired his ability to cover innovation with a healthy dose of reality. Check out his last column, in which he reflects on the past 25 years: https://lnkd.in/gPVJAcWC
