What is IT? IT is the third part of our leadership excellence model (ME, US and IT). As we’ve already explored, ME is all about Truth; US is all about Trust; and this week, we will discover that IT is all about Traction. IT starts with asking ourselves a series of questions: WHERE is IT we are heading? WHAT is IT that we are building? WHY are we doing IT? WHEN are we doing IT? Once we are clear on the answers to these questions, we can lead our team to a successful outcome – often even more successful than you ever dreamed (more on this later)! In a team or organisation that isn’t clear on IT, productivity and engagement are low, people are overworked, underappreciated and rudderless. There may be an overload of initiatives with no clear idea of where you’re going or why, which will ultimately result in poor performance. It could be said that when IT isn’t clear, you’re operating in an ego system rather than an ecosystem. There’s a great quote from Michael Neill’s Supercoach that really resonates with me: “When creating becomes about WHAT you want to create and not about YOU, the game becomes a whole lot easier.” Stay tuned this week for practical advice on how to get clear on IT, and see performance skyrocket. And as ever, if you want support, please reach out for our help. #leadership

Friday reflection question: How often are you swooping in to ‘save’ your leaders? No complaints about leaders stepping in when needed. But are you also stepping in when you aren’t really needed? This has come up in a couple of management board conversations where they want their Senior Leadership Teams to step up. One of the reasons SLT aren’t stepping up (alongside possible capability or resource gaps) is they aren’t empowered. Empowerment is a popular word yet the business reality is the exception not the rule. What’s often happening is: - management board keep hold of strategic topics rather than identifying strands to delegate - SLT aren’t given enough clarity around 1) purpose and expected outcomes of the work and 2) expectations of their behaviour/ approach/ ownership at SLT level - When SLT present, the management board sponsor takes over and also answers questions. You have highly capable people in your business who need more room. What would shift your behaviour from ‘leading’ them to ‘sponsoring’ them? You’ll notice a difference. . . . The Friday reflection questions are an opportunity for us to be curious about our leadership impact over the last week and boost our creativity for the week ahead. It’s pausing and being intentional about how we’re choosing to think, act and behave. It’s about experimenting, thinking differently and evolving our leadership. I’d love to hear your responses here or by DM. Enjoy. It's #internationalcoachingweek and yet I hear team leaders and #hr and #ceos say "Yeeeah we did some leadership training but we're back at square one, you can't really change the culture". And I hear coaches say "I used all the concepts that should work, like #cliftonstrengths, and there was amazing energy in the training session and they were really happy... But just on that day. A month later I talked to the client and the same old story repeated. They never changed anything for real." What a frustration. For both #coach and #client. For us at Thriverse, it is all about #lasting #IMPACT. For us, coaching and training and tons of other elements have to culminate in actual progress. That sticks. A change in team dynamics. Different conversations. A weekly check-in. Different mindset. A go-to tool how to resolve conflict. How to have difficult conversations. What exactly everyone does differently on a daily basis. How do I go about resilience. How do I align with others quarterly. A progress that lasts. Hear the story of Tenzor Group and how we approached working with amazing Tenzorians there. And what changed for good. And how they got unstuck and boosted their growth and revenues by 40%. Business impact is possible. If we as coaches don't go all in, clients won't either. #impact #organizationalculturechange #itcanbedone #leadershipdevelopment #coachingapproach #coaching #teamcoaching Gallup

Meet your personal operating system: Your leadership game! If I was coaching you, Before teaching you anything About co-creative leadership We would do some foundational work… We would talk about your values We would talk about your leadership declaration And then, we would spend time on the big one… → Identifying and noticing your leadership game Your leadership game is like Your personal operating system. It runs in the background, going unnoticed… Until something happens and then it kicks into action. Some examples… → You ask your team a question and you answer right away. → You redo the work you delegated to an employee. → You recognize someone immediately for their efforts. You don’t think about doing any of these things They just come out of you automatically… Because of it’s nature, You can’t magically change Your leadership game. What you can do though Is learn to notice when it kicks in. For example: When you ask that question to your team You may feel nervous they will not answer So you answer pre-emptively You can notice a few things here: → How does that nervousness feel → How much time you leave your team to actually reply → How often you hear your voice vs your team members When you start noticing… It gives you the power to start making decisions. Do you want this default behaviour to kick in? Do you want to do something different? Your leadership game is neither good or bad It is a mix of you at your best and at your worst These are natural parts of you. Remember: The first step isn't changing your game. It's noticing when it's playing you. Tell me, what are some parts of your leadership game that you are aware of? How would like this to change? #CoCreativeLeadership #Leadership

🔍 Your Leadership Isn’t Working—But Do You Even See It? 🔍 Here’s the uncomfortable truth: Poor leadership is like a silent killer for your team. You might not notice it, but your team feels it. 👉 High turnover? 👉 Low engagement? 👉 Innovation grinding to a halt? These aren’t just random issues—they’re symptoms of leadership that’s stuck in the past. Micromanaging, dismissing feedback, and leading with ego rather than empathy create an environment where no one thrives. And if you think the problem is them and not you—that’s the biggest red flag of all. In today’s world, leadership isn’t about authority; it’s about adaptability, emotional intelligence, and inspiring your team. Leadership coaching helps you see what your blind spots are hiding and equips you with the skills to lead effectively. So, are you ready to take a hard look at your leadership—or will you keep dragging your team down while wondering why nothing’s changing? #LeadershipBlindSpots #AdaptAndLead #ModernLeadership #CoachingForGrowth

Have you ever wondered what shapes our leadership styles? Robert (Bob) J. Anderson and William A. (Bill) Adams dive deep into the Five Levels of Leadership, and trust me, it's worth exploring. 🗿 A key element of the leadership journey is about understanding ourselves and how we are evolving as individuals. Consider it as part of a process of sculpting your masterpiece, your life. Life's transitions and challenges are the rough material that help us elevate our technical mastery to achieve our final art. Here's a brief overview: 🔍 Egocentric: Remember those times when it was all about us? Yeah, we've all been there. Being a leader, will challenge us to move past that and focus on the bigger picture. We will soon realize that we need others. 🔍 Reactive: It's a bit like learning to use the tools; chisels, gouges, hammers, rasps and paintbrushes. We start to think about others, but sometimes decision-making still feels like a solo act. Fear becomes our companion. 🔍 Creative: This is where things get exciting! We break free from old habits and start thinking outside the box. It's all about finding our true selves and letting our vision shine. 🔍 Integral: Our vision expands to include everyone, and we become champions of change for the whole system. 🔍 Unitive: This is where the magic happens. We feel connected to everything and everyone around us, and our leadership reaches new heights. So, which level speaks to you? And what's one step you'll take this week to level up in your leadership journey? Share your thoughts below – let's inspire each other to grow, discover and evolve! The Missing Ingredient in Leadership 🤝 Trust or Control? The Leadership Dilemma 🤝 Continuing from my last post, the ad I watched brought back memories of situations where I felt the need to control every detail—thinking that was the only way to ensure success. The ad’s message—"Kaam nikalwana padhta hai, saar par khadhe rehna!"—resonates with a leadership style I’ve encountered, and admittedly, practiced in the past. It’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that to get things done, you need to be on top of everything, but that often reveals a deeper issue—a lack of trust. In my experience, true leadership isn’t about controlling every move. It’s about empowering your team and trusting them to deliver. When I started focusing on trust rather than control, I noticed a significant shift in both team morale and results. Let’s reflect on our leadership approaches. How can we build more trust in our teams today? 👉 Challenge yourself: What’s one thing you can delegate or let go of to give your team more autonomy? #Leadership #TrustInTeams #EmployeeEmpowerment #Management #AdAnalysis
