Recently, I’ve noticed many profiles with the title "AI Expert." It got me thinking: What does being an AI Expert really mean? Does it mean you’re skilled at creating AI tools? Or does it mean you’re an expert at using AI tools effectively? I understand the importance of optimizing your LinkedIn profile, but this raises an interesting debate. What do you think? This being May Day, one for the proletariat: A possible argument for why GenAI will become unpopular. (a)  Reading is working (b)  GenAI will drastically increase the amount of text we have to read (c)  Therefore, GenAI will drastically increase the amount of work we have to do. Nobody likes to work, and technology is supposed to reduce the amount of work we do (stated in a more politically correct form “increase our productivity”). It is very easy now for someone to generate al larger number of verbose texts from GenAI. These are then dumped on a potentially limitless audience who have read and process them. If GenAI means more work for a lot of people, they are not going to be happy. #genai #ai #datagovernance #mayday

LinkedIn works on genuine connection. Using AI tools to comment is making this platform less genuine and less engaging. I could have made this post earlier also. But why now? Because it’s getting worse. There are multiple things wrong with this comment - 1. The AI tool has assumed that the picture is mine and written a comment 2. It talks about my energy in the picture - while it’s a dog in the picture 3. The P.S. doesn’t add any human element to the comment 4. The person who commented has a Dr. in front of their name - this one comment is enough to cause serious damage to his credibility Stop doing this, people! It makes you look like an idiot. I suggest that we actually connect with each other on LinkedIn instead of just chasing numbers. #AI

I see and read posts every day about AI. Have you ever wondered about the authenticity behind them? Many posts appear to be written by AI itself, lacking practical insights. In my opinion, these posts usually fall into two categories: - Individuals pretending to be AI experts to secure job opportunities and/or market themselves. - Individuals aiming to sell or impress their audience. My advice? Before engaging with such posts, take a moment to review the background of the author. This simple step can help you distinguish between genuine insights and mere pretense. Let's prioritize quality over quantity in our AI posts. And if you are going to reference terms, make sure you understand them. #artificialintelligence

I follow a lot of people on LinkedIn and most importantly, I follow what they post. But what I am taken aback by is some of the comments left on such posts. Sometimes I go and check out the profiles of those who comment thinking they might be bots and are blindly commenting. I have seen certain posts which end with a question and the comments you find on them are blindly picked for the AI suggestions LinkedIn provides. AI surely is a boon, but please understand that it is also a bane. Please don’t stop utlising your minds because “AI se sab ho jayega”.
