Board Member | CEO | President

After nearly two decades, I have decided to depart CardioFocus. It has been a privilege to be part of the team that developed the HeartLight X3 System and built a global commercial EP company. It took the efforts of hundreds of people.  I am thankful to all the former and current employees, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, consultants, commercial partners, researchers, clinicians and most especially the hundreds of patients that volunteered to participate in our many clinical studies over the years. Thanks to those I served with at CardioFocus for over a decade: Jerry Melsky, Paul LaViolette, Ian Christianson, Lisa Hausman, Brian Estabrook, Linc, Annette, Nick, Sidney, Peap, and Kosal.  I am grateful for your many contributions over the years.  It takes tremendous commitment and teamwork to start with a novel product concept and end with a third-generation, complex AF ablation system in the highly competitive EP space. Our success was ultimately based on two key principles: putting patients first in every important decision and always striving to do the right thing. There were many rewarding aspects to my CardioFocus journey, but the two greatest pleasures were seeing the excited look on EPs faces as they directly saw into the heart for the first time with an endoscope and traveling the globe listening to the patient success stories told by our HeartLight customers. I will always treasure what our team and partners were able to achieve for patients.  Now on to the next chapter of my career.
